RESEARCH INTERESTS
International demographic trends in the industrial world and their socio-economic consequences. Immigration trends and policies; demography of ethnic minorities.
Other research include: demographic consequences of international migration, projections of ethnic minority populations, fertility divergence in the developed world, the social and economic consequences of population decline (with Robert Rowthorn, Cambridge), the Future of Human Reproduction (with Wolfgang Lutz, Vienna Institute of Demography and IIASA, and Stuart Basten, formerly of St John’s College Research Centre ).
